Anne Milton MP defends Puttenham residents suffering from a noisy neighbour!

Over the past few months there has been a notable increase in the noise disturbance from small aircraft performing aerobatics over Puttenham and surrounding land. Although this has always been a base for aerobatics, there has been a significant growth in the number of concerns.

Despite protests from unimpressed residents complaining about the recent increase in noise, no particular body seems to be taking responsibility. The Civil Aviation Authority has not put a limit on the number of aerobatic planes coming from Farnborough, and residents are worried that the number of planes could increase further still.

Anne Milton, MP for Guildford, said “this situation has been slowly creeping up on the residents of Puttenham, and its surrounding areas, and they are now clearly pretty desperate. I have written to the Civil Aviation Authority outlining local concerns to see what measures can be taken to ensure that local residents have some protection against the noise from small aircraft.”
