The Royal Surrey is now reaching the final stages in its bid to become a Foundation Trust and could be granted Foundation Status by December.
Anne Milton Guildford’s MP said:
“I understand that the independent regulator Monitor have delayed a decision while Royal Surrey fills two vacancies on their Board. I am very aware how very hard the staff have worked to get to this stage and it is quite right that Monitor should expect not only the highest standards of financial management and effective clinical care, but also a strong and cohesive team on the Board. Well done to everyone who has done so much to secure Royal Surrey’s future.”
